It really worked for my puppy…

My 11 week old puppy used to chew on his pad, but he couldn’t anymore. He goes on the pad everytime he has to go potty and have nearly no accidents.

I use these pads…

By training them to go to the bathroom outside. The earliest for first heat is 5 months but it can be anywhere between then and the age of 1 and a half. Varies from breed to breed and dog to dog.

puppies need things to chew on, teething and for play time. if the pup is bored it will chew what is available. when she comes into heat she will no longer be a puppy….a very young adult. expect that to be around 4-6 months old. make sure to get her spayed before she goes into heat so she doesn’t have puppies.

    Oh dear. *laugh*

Puppies chew anything and EVERYTHING they can. Not just potty training pads. My dog, at 7 months old, still chews up the newspapers meant for her potty because she gets bored at times.

You need to be present to stop your puppy from doing so. When you see your pup chewing on the pad, say ‘No chew!’ or ‘No!’ firmly and then give it something like a chew toy so it’ll know papers are not meant for chewing. Most puppies grow out of it by the time they are about 8 or 9 months old..but note you need to leave a few toys in the room if you’re closing the pup in for hours else it’ll get bored and source for it’s own fun..

First heat varies from breed to breed - larger breeds take about a year to year and a half.. while smaller breeds tend to start as early as 6 months old.

Mouthing and biting are natural, normal behaviors; all puppies do it. During teething (generally starting around four months), the urge to mouth is extra powerful because it feels good on your pups’ tender gums. It’s not just the pads that he would try to chew/bite but other stuff so it’s best to curb this behavior before it worsens.

Here’s a link that gives you ways in resolving this behavior. good luck!
