That's what i did, and it worked. Now i have a bell that i hang on my door, and when i ring it, he knows that he's supposed to come outside to pee or poop. And you should only give him treats when he does it outside. Anyways, now when my dog needs to pee or poop or even just go outside to play, he rings the bell on our door.
