    poop is delicious …
poop is delicious when it’s hardly digested food. I assume your dog eats really fast? the first step you can take to prevent your dog from eating it’s own poop is to make him slow down eating. Drop a little bit of food in his bowl every time you feed him and make him slow down between bites, this way he will eventually chew the food so that it can be properly digested, then it doesn’t taste as good.

Also watch him like a hawk and make a loud noise anytime he goes to eat poop

    i am not bashing …
i am not bashing this method, but for anyone interested… i think that there is another way. you lay layers of newspaper down on the ground, all over the dog’s special living area. only put the pup in when you cannot watch them. when they are out, u must watch them. see if they start sniffing. immediately take them outside and say “go potty” and wait. when they go make a fuss over them. instead of waiting for the dog to pee on the papers, like this video shows, take your dog outside and wait

    Couldn’t you just …
Couldn’t you just reward the dog for peeing and outside and then don’t reward him for doing his business inside? Would he catch on after while?

for them to pee. if …
for them to pee. if you want your dog going outside, it does not make sense to wait for them to go inside. the more you get them to pee outside, the better they learn. only use the papers (mentioned earlier) when you can’t watch your puppy. get to know the signs of pup about to pee and get to know their potty schedule. then take them outside all the time. the papers should only be second best place to pee. outside is the very best.
