I like to hang a small bell on the door... Each time you take them out, jingle the bell...soon they will catch on to jingling the bell when they need to go out..Consistency is the key..

Sounds like you are on the right track..
References :
dog breeder /trainer since 1968

dogs do not use the toilet where they eat so changing place where they eat all the time helps.
I got a cage for my pup to sleep in for overnight it wont go there either before i go to bed i let him out and then in morning i let him out .puppies normally go shortly after waking and shortly after eating just put them outside at key times and praise when they go.
References :
Dog have different ways of letting you know that they have to go outside, some sit by the door quietly, some dance around, some bark, some go to the door and scratch. You will have to watch them for the tells. This is what I would do:

For starters take them outside every 1/2 hour and say the words "GO POTTY", then when they go throw them a party, get excited, "GOOD BOY/GIRL" "GOOD POTTY", then give them a treat. With in a few days if you are consistent with this They will learn that its a good thing to go outside.

If they make a mess in the house don't rub their nose in it, or beat them, or yell at them (would you do that to a child?) Look at the mess and in a stern, disappointed voice say bad, bad, bad, then put the dogs outside and clean up the mess. Don't let them see you clean it up.

Housebreaking is not a fun, easy, or enjoyable time for anyone. It takes time, energy, being consistent, and persistent.
I hope this has helped. Good luck.
References :
What you need to do is give them over the top praise the split second they pee outside. Then bring them straight back in - don't play. They'll soon learn that they are doing the right thing when they get lots of praise and they'll ask to go out. Some dogs always give subtle signals. Try teaching them to ring a bill that you hang at the right height for them right beside the door.

Consistency and patience with lots of praise will have them trained in no time.
References :
they should learn..if now they always go outside, they shoudl figure out that that is where they need to go. Just continue to make the option as available as possible and they will do that. Make sure if you ever see them going inside to scold them and immediately bring them outdoors. But if you find some pee or feces inside, stickign their face in it and yelling will not help, you need to have immediate feedback. good luck. youre sub text is very confusing
References :
the best thing is every time you seem them squat you put the puppy outside. they will soon get the idea. after that they will go to the door and maybe scratch or whine or bark to be let out.
