ok here is the thing pads are bull crap ur puppy is suppose to eat about tree two times a day and about 30 mins after shes done eating take her out side to go and she will get used to going out side so every time she needs to go she will cry by the letting u know that she needs to go but make sure u take that bowl away when shes done eating and just leave the water down

the crying is normal for puppies. its their way of letting you know what he wants. as the waking up in mornin time its also normal...everytime he has an accident pick him up n take him to the wee wee pad

By getting up at 3 and then at 5 to let him out he is training you to let him do this. After his last feeding do not let him have access to water. About an hour before "lights out " play with him and then just before bed time take him out to relieve himself. At 5 months old he should be developed enough to be able to go at least 6 hours before he needs to go again if he didnt have access to water since his last meal.

If your pup is inconsistent during the night, confine it to a smal area. Puppies 8 weeks and older usually dislike soiling the area where they sleep. Accordingly, confining pup during the night helps to teach it bowel and bladder control.

Put a 5 month old puppy in a crate that he’s never been in and he’s going to whine and cry ALL NIGHT LONG—and no one will sleep—-if he’s had free reign of the house at night..NO CRATE is going to keep him silent….He’s still a baby—-and just like all babies, they don’t sleep through the night at the same time OTHER babies do it… You really have to be patient with him but it is GOOD that you take him out even at 3AM when he cries to go out… does he sleep in YOUR room with you???? it could be that maybe he is just lonely and needs company at those times… try moving his bedding into your room by your bed having company MAY just keep him calmer and MAY let him sleep through the night….

Hello…start moving the pads to the door & out to where he’s potty’s …and go to crate or space training..dogs are den creatures, they like crammed in & tight, the crate need only be just big enough for him to turn, stand, stretch & beings he’s pretty good @ potty trained, he probably won’t like pottying where he sleeps… they feel secure in crates when done properly & just might help him sleep thru the night better..cuz he’ll feel more secure & not so "Out There"..there’s more detailed details on crate /space training on my 360, it’s a training of praise & reward which works well with any kind of training…Take Care

Do you use a crate? If so dogs usually will hold it in there because they dont want to pee where they sleep. Might be worth a shot if you dont . . . then you both could sleep and the dog will learn bladder control - maybe only get up once during night. My pup is 6 months and is just now making it through the night!

first don’t let him have any water or food about 2 hours before bedtime. then put him in a kennal that is a good size for him. what i mean is less room to move is better dogs will not potty in there bedding area so make it as to where he can only turn around an lay no bigger because if it’s to big he will potty in one end and sleep on the other.

Try giving him a real vigorous playtime before bed and the last pee time. That should wear him out and maybe he will let you sleep through the night.
