Is this for my potty-training puppy?
21 Feb 2010
I’ve been potty training my puppy for almost three weeks, I taught him to rattle the bell when he needs to go. I say he learned it, cuz almost every time he rattles the bell to tell us that he needs to go. But today, when I was playing with him, he was jumping up and down and was so excited, and all of a sudden he just peed like right away, with absolutely no signs or gestures or rattling bell. Does this mean that my puppy is not house broken yet? Why did he do that when he always knows to rattle the bell? Thanks!
Sometimes dogs lose control when they’re excited, no matter their level of housebreaking. He will probably grow out of it.
Just keep reinforcing what you’ve taught him, reward him for ringing the bell and peeing outside.

puppys do have mishaps. He is only a puppy and he probably got excited when you were playing with him.

he just got so excited that he peed, it sometimes happens so don’t give up hope and good thinking training your puppy to rattle a bell to let you know that he needs to go outside.
