Then you let them sniff around and stuff, but dont play with them UNTIL they have done their job (potty). Then praise them up and down and bring them in. Some dogs train fast others take longer. Im sure other people have some ideas. It takes time. Most 'failure' of dogs to house train are actually owner failures. Ask your vet for a hand out about training. It will explain many things.
