That sounds wonderful doesnt it. Unfortunately when you go to pick up your dog, You’ll see how great he works with the trainer but he wont work the same for you. Its the owner who needs to be taught how to work the dog. Owners who are not sure what to do are not consistant. All that money you just gave that trainer will be flushed. Once the consistency stops, the dog will regress. And you will end up with the same dog you started out with. A obediance class will work awesome for you. PetSmarts is a 8 week course, only once a week. Good luck

not a good idea it may listen to them and not you, they may abuse her. leerburg.com do not send your dogs to ones in fl i heard bad stuff about one there.

You might check at cesarmillan.com he has a center but its for dogs that are not well trained and need extra help. He is in the Los Angeles area but I am sure there are others who use his methods.

this is not a good idea. People do it but……it is so much more affective to go to training with your dog and help with the training because………otherwise the dog will still test you when you get it back. If you go with the dog yourself it will understand from the get go you are in charge not some stranger it won’t see again after training. Do you really prefer a stranger bond with your dog than you yourself because that’s what will happen. Training is a great bonding experience between owner and pet,I wouldn’t deny your dog that…

Please don’t do that. It won’t help you bond to your dog, your dog may not listen to you when it comes back (because you weren’t the one who trained it) and I do know a dog who was sent to a trainer and the dog was abused and now is a very sad, depressed, and submissively aggressive dog. Find a training school that you can go to with your dog.

Potty training can take anywhere from 2 weeks to months have you tried crate training? The best way to do it is yourself bud. If you are trying to get out of potty training are you going to give it the affection and attention it needs for its whole life. sorry wish everything were that simple to drop of and pick up when fixed.

Training dogs is easy. Training owners is hard. If you do not participate in the training, the results will probably not be satisfactory, even if you can find a facility willing to do it.

Where are you located? There is one here in Tampa on Wilsky Road. Sorry forgot the name. There is also one on Gunn Highway in Tarpon Springs. Both will teach basic commands: ie: sit, stay, etc. However, training a dog in it’s truest form requires the owners to be committed as well.Ever thought of having a trainer come to your home to work with your dog?
Or is the objective, go away until your trained then come home perfect? Not meaning to sound rude but training a dog is not just the dog, the owners need to be a part of it or it never works. Owning a dog requires committment, money, and devotion.

It’s hard to find a training camp for dogs, but If your willing to spend a few hours a day for your animals a go Thru the course’s with them, then I would suggest going thru,Pet-co and checking out at the local store and Pet smart, sometimes they have obedient training classes, first the obedience then the breaking at home it all goes together, and it brings you and the dog closer, I t also shows to the animal you mean business, and you care for them as a pet owner your serious about them. How would you like your dog to trust you enough to take off the leash and she stays put until you give a command. or she goes to the door to be let out and she doesn’t run off. Try it and let me know if you see any changes in the dog.
